About Emily

Emily is the founder of The Breathing Space and the guiding heart behind its vision — a space for connection, calm, and community within the rhythm of city life.
A passionate and experienced yoga teacher, she is dedicated to creating inclusive, empowering practices that invite students to explore movement with curiosity, compassion, and a sense of play.

With a background in diverse yoga traditions and specialised training, Emily blends mindfulness, safety, and self-awareness to help students reconnect with their inner strength and natural flexibility — both physical and emotional. Her classes encourage exploration of the body and mind, weaving together variations of asana that awaken connection to all parts of ourselves, from the backs of the knees to the deeper layers of thought and feeling.

Rooted in the philosophy of Patanjali and inspired by the discipline of Ashtanga yoga, Emily’s teaching is grounded in the principle of Ahimsa — non-harm. She invites students to cultivate kindness and awareness on the mat, building familiarity with what it truly means to move, breathe, and live with compassion.
