Meet your Instructors

Nina studies Vedic chanting In the south Indian lineage of the Challakere Brothers and under the guidance of Shantala Sriramaiah, who has encouraged her to teach.

Nina started practicing Ashtanga Yoga in 2014 under the guidance of Alexia Galleron in Marseille.
Over the years, she has been studying with several well-known Ashtanga Yoga teachers like Manju Jois, David Swenson, Peter Sanson, Luke Jordan and Vijay Kumar.

Since 2023 she has been hosting the workshop with Petri Räisänen in Brussels and has been assisting him in multiple workshops and retreats across Europe as well as at his yearly retreat in Thailand. That’s also how she met Tamara, whom she has been co-assisting with in various countries like Tenerife, Portugal and Thailand.

In 2024, Nina founded Ashtanga Yoga Anderlecht where she is now offering a full Mysore program, assisted by her 3 colleagues.

Tamara is an ashtanga yoga teacher, dancer and energy worker. Her teaching draws on deep understanding of the body mind systems, gained through her yoga, meditation and somatic studies, including body mind centering, contact improvisation and Feldenkrais. She teaches Mysore classes in Cambridge and restorative yoga in the community health clinic at the University of Bedfordshire. She is experienced in working with students with a wide range of needs, health conditions and chronic pain. She is a student of Petri Raisanen and Juha Javainainen. She is committed to developing a contemporary therapeutic approach to ashtanga that creates safer spaces for practice and attends to the intelligence and needs of the students.
