What to Expect

A hands-on workshop designed to help you get more from your current strength training. Through guided movement exploration and individual coaching, we’ll explore how small changes in setup, control, tempo, and exercise variation can improve comfort, confidence, and overall movement quality.

My background is in science. I studied for degrees in biology and marine biology before completing a postgraduate diploma in exercise and nutrition science.

This grounding has shaped how I think. I look for what makes sense, what’s supported by evidence, and what holds up when it’s tested over time. I’m not interested in fads, or things that only work in ideal conditions. I’m interested in what’s clear, simple, and genuinely useful.

Over the last decade, I’ve worked directly with women as a personal trainer and nutrition coach. That experience teaches something else: Life is busy, unpredictable, and often messy. Even the best laid plans won't always stick. That's where practical coaching skills come in — listening, empathy, understanding, compassion, adapting, simplifying.

It's this combination of science and real-world experience that underpins the way I work.

Why this matters to me

I care about what I do because I’ve lived what I teach.

For a long time, I thought the answer was pushing harder: Eating less, training more, and trying to stay in control. On the surface it looked like discipline, but underneath, I was struggling to keep it all together.

Things changed when I stopped trying to force results, and learned to trust my body instead.

Outside of Work

For me, strength isn’t an end in itself. It allows me to make the most of everything else. Trail runs and long hikes across the Cumbrian countryside, travelling and exploring new places, and time spent with my dog.
